Good Evening South Range Community this is Bethany Carlson calling with exciting news and important announcements.
This Saturday the South Range Schools Foundation would like to invite the South Range Community to the First Annual Fall Fest on Saturday September 24th from 5 to 10 pm. The event has been created by the Foundation to thank the community for their continued support of South Range Schools. The Fall Fest will feature our school clubs and organizations with information booths and food sales. There will be activities, games, raffles, a movie, bonfire and so much more. The Fall Fest is open to the community so invite your family and friends. We hope to see all of you there.
Last week we were notified that our elementary school was awarded the National Blue Ribbon of Excellence. We are very proud of our staff, students and our families for their hard work and dedication. It is because of all of you that our elementary school is a success.
The Local Report Card information has been released. Our district continues to excel in areas of Achievement, Gap Closure, Early Literacy and Graduation. Our district focus this year will continue to be in all these areas with a strategic focus on Progress! Our goal is to receive 4-5 stars across the board next year. This week many students in middle school and high school will be attending the Skilled Trades Expo at the Canfield Fairgrounds. They will be able to learn about various trades as well as receive some hands-on experience while they are there. If you are interested in this event it is open to the general public on September 21 from 3pm to 6pm.
Lastly, a message from the elementary school. 4th grade parents may begin to send in their Camp Fitch payments this Friday, September 23rd and there is a parent meeting Tuesday, September 27th at 4 p.m. in the auditorium
