

Americanism Test
This year 37 High School students, grades 10-12 participated in the Americanism and Government Test. This test consisted of 50 questions covering Federal State, County and Local Government: The United States flag; the United State Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Students also wrote an essay on the same topic which used in tie-breaking situations.
South Range High School had four local winners in this year's American Legion Americanism and Government Test. The 12th grade winner is Lisa Stewart, 11th grade winner is Jessie Bolen, 10th grade winner is Brianna Prislipsky and the 10th grade winner is A.J. Melnick.
A.J. Melnick was a state winner in the American Legion Americanism and Government Test. Along with the honor of being a state winner of this test, A.J. Melnick received an all expense paid trip to Gettysburg and Washington D.C. with the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary. Congratulations to all the winners. Great Job!!
Next school year 2012-2013 there is a band trip so 8th-12th grade students that participate in April's fundraising will have 50% profit from each company deposited into their band accounts that can pay for or help with the cost of that band trip.
