  • BOYS BASKETBALL KEEPS GAMES CLOSE
    South Range High School :: Boys Basketball

    THE SOUTH RANGE BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL TEAM HAS KEEP RAIDER FANS ON THE EDGE OF THEIR SEATS SO FAR THIS SEASON WITH THRILLING, COME FROM BEHIND VICTORIES.  THE RAIDERS HAVE WON THE FIRST THREE GAMES BY AN AVERAGE OF JUST OVER THREE POINTS PER GAME.  IN EACH GAME, THE RAIDERS HAVE SCORED PLENTY OF POINTS IN THE FOURTH QUARTER TO PULL OUT THE WINS.  

    A VERY DIFFICULT PORTION OF THE SCHEDULE IS NOW UPON THE RAIDERS AS THEY TRAVEL TO LAKEVIEW, POLAND, HUBBARD, AND THE FARRELL TOURNAMENT BEFORE PLAYING AT HOME JANUARY 2 HOSTING THE SPRINGFIELD TIGERS.

  • RAIDERS SEASON ENDS AT WEST GEAUGA
    South Range High School :: Boys Football

    THE SOUTH RANGE VARSITY FOOTBALL TEAM ENDED THE SEASON WITH A 10-0 LOSS AT WEST GEAUGA FRIDAY NIGHT.  THE RAIDERS ENDED UP 4-6 FOR THE YEAR WITH ONE OF THE AREAS MOST DIFFICULT SCHEDULES.  
    SOUTH RANGE ENTERS THE NEW NORTHEAST 8 CONFERENCES NEXT YEAR AND ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEW CHALLENGE.  

    CONGRATULATIONS TO COACH YEAGLEY, HIS STAFF AND THE TEAM FOR ALL THEIR EFFORTS AND EXCITING MEMORIES OF THE PAST SEASON.

  • GIRLS SOCCER HEADED TO REGIONALS
    South Range High School :: Girls Soccer

    THE 3-1 GIRLS SOCCER TEAM DEFEATED SOUTHEAST LAST NIGHT TO EARN THE RIGHT TO ADVANCE TO THE REGIONALS.  THIS WILL BE THE FIRST GIRLS SOCCER TEAM TO ADVANCE TO THE REGIONALS IN SCHOOL HISTORY.  BREE KOHLER LEAD THE RAIDERS WITH THREE GOALS.  

    THE RAIDERS WILL PLAY KIRTLAND TUESDAY, OCTOBER 30TH AT SOLON HIGH SCHOOL.  START TIME IS SCHEDULED FOR 7:00 PM.  CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TEAM AND COACHES!!!  

    GOOD LUCK AT REGIONALS!!!

  • RAIDERS CRUSH REBELS; YEAGLEY GETS 200TH WIN
    South Range High School :: Boys Football

    IT WAS TRULY A SPECIAL NIGHT FOR ALL RAIDERS FANS AS THE RAIDERS DEFEATED THE CRESTVIEW REBELS.  BUT PRIOR TO THE KICK-OFF, ALUMNI FROM PAST CLASSES WERE HONORED AND ALSO THE STATE DIVISION III BASEBALL CHAMPIONS WERE INTRODUCED.  THIS SET THE STAGE FOR THE LAST FOOTBALL CONTEST BETWEEN THESE LONG TIME RIVALS AS THE RAIDERS POWERED PAST THE REBELS TO A 48-21 VICTORY.  JUST BEFORE THE FINAL GUN WENT OFF, PA ANNOUNCER PAUL MUNSON LET THE CROWD HONOR HEAD COACH DAN YEAGLEY, AS HE ANNOUNCED THAT COACH YEAGLEY HAD JUST WON HIS 200TH GAME  AS HEAD COACH AT SOUTH RANGE.  THE CROWN LET COACH YEAGLEY KNOW ITS APPRECIATION FOR HIS EFFORTS.  

    NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE IS MARLINGTON NEXT FRIDAY AT SOUTH RANGE, KICK-OFF IS 7:00 PM

    CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TEAM, COACHES, AND ESPECIALLY COACH YEAGLEY.  GOOD LUCK NEXT WEEK.

  • RAIDERS STATE CHAMPS
    South Range High School :: Boys Baseball

    THE SOUTH RANGE ARE THE OHSAA DIVISION III STATE CHAMPIONS!!!  THEY DEFEATED COLDWATER 3-2 AT HUNTINGTON PARK IN COLUMBUS LAST WEEK.  SAM BROOKS PITCHED FIVE SUPERB INNINGS AND BRANDON YOUNGS CLOSED THE GAME FOR THE LAST TWO SCORELESS INNINGS.  YOUNGS ALSO MADE TWO UNASSISTED DOUBLE PLAYS WITH THE BASES LOADED TO SPARK THE DEFENSE AND KEEP COLDWATER FROM SCORING.  

    THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN PROGRAM HISTORY THAT A DISTRICT OR REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP HAS ACHIEVED.  THE TEAM ACCOMPLISHED BOTH TO EARN THE STATE BIRTH AND THEY DEFEATED MADERIA IN THE SEMI-FINAL GAME, 7-0, AND THEY THE CHAMPIONSHIP WIN OVER COLDWATER, 3-2.

    THE TEAM WAS WELCOMED HOME BY OVER 200 CHEERING FANS  AS A PARADE OF SIRENS LED THE WAY.   A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO THE BEAVER POLICE, FIRE AND RESCUE SQUADS WHO WERE THERE, TO GREEN TOWNSHIP FIRE AND RESCUE UNITS FOR BEING THERE, AND FOR THE GOSHEN. CANFIELD, AND STATE HIGHWAY PATROL UNITS FOR ACCOMPANYING THE TEAM.
